My First Shaker

My first Cocktail Shaker was certianly a very pedestrian purchase. I had tried a Martini with my Sister and her Hubby, and although I was initially unimpressed, the drink quickly grew on me.

Soon I found myself searching out my own Shaker. This stainless shaker is the work-horse of my collection.

Found at the Bay.

Price $24.99

The moment before that first sip of an icy cold Gin Martini,, could life get any better than this?

Origins of the word "cocktail"

Perhaps the greatest mystery of mankind, well mabey not, but an interesting read for those who like to sit back after a long day and shake a little gin and vermouth.

Cocktail Shaker Collection

I started collecting cocktail shakers shortly after I became a bachelor for the second time.
I decided I needed a way to jazz up the pad and have gone with a vintage barware/poker/no-girlie-things allowed kind of theme.

Little did I know how quickly my collection would grow. I think I am up to about 40 vintage shakers. Stay tuned for evidence of my collection.
